Our Mission is to build up bow hunting in South and Southern Africa and grow it out to the continent of Africa. So the services provided here are geared towards making the members of this site successful.
On the flipside, the goal behind the features of the site is simply to create an information source for bowhunters and new archers, that are interested in bowhunting.
That is why the service provider’s directory is sortable and searchable according to region. Why we have a new Bow Hunters section and why the articles are focussed on helpful information to both newbies and seasoned professionals.
From beginning to end, we want to make it as simple as possible for any person to find information they need, or a service provider in their area.
About 179 Days
In 2016 I went on my first bow hunt.
The following 179 days included some of the most epic experiences of my life. I Stalked Blesbuck, Impala, Gemsbuck Wildebeest and Nyala. I successfully hunted a Waterbuck, two Warthogs and 3 Wildebeest. I filmed Kudu Hunt, a Nyala Hunt, a Giraffe Hunt and a Buffalo Hunt. I got to stalk on foot, shoot from a hide & hunt from a treestand. Not one animal was wounded and found a home in my freezer, or the freezer of somebody that needed it more than me.
179-days is all about the preparation for the next hunting season from choosing a bow and equipment all the way to the conclusion of the last hunt at the end of the season!
Sean Nel is a target archer turned bowhunter…
The blog on this site is about general archery “stuff” and his preparations for his hunting trips and taking new hunters out on their first hunt. He like hides for hunting, especially if hunting with new bowhunters, but not afraid of a stalk and has great affection for a tree!
